The vendors, visitors and supporters of the 2010 Season's Christmas Show donated 133 packages of diapers and more than $12,000 to the Holiday Wishes Program at Peel Children’s Aid Foundation! The cash donations were used to purchase items such as warm clothing, diapers, formula, and safety equipment for babies living in Peel Region whose families are experiencing financial hardship. We are so grateful to everyone who helped us ensure that the smallest, most vulnerable children in our community were able to be warm and well fed during last year’s frigid winter temperatures. The generosity of our Seasons Christmas Show supporters helped make dreams come true for many children!

The Seasons Christmas Show is proud to support the Holiday Wishes program which brings holiday cheer to more than 2200 children and teens throughout Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon. Peel Region has the fastest growing child poverty rate in the Greater Toronto Area and, while child protection services provided by Peel Children’s Aid are fully funded by the government, the Foundation’s donors make it possible for us to help provide food, seasonal clothing, basic necessities, education and enrichment programs for the most vulnerable children in our area. Since 2008, the number of requests for help from families in need of poverty relief for their children has grown by approximately 22% each year, and the help the Foundation receives from Seasons Show supporters is instrumental in helping children in need.
The program is run by Peel Children’s Aid Foundation, which provides services and support for disadvantaged, abused and neglected children. Seasons is proud to partner with the Foundation and encourages show visitors to bring donations of prepackaged diapers to the show in support of the Holiday Wishes Campaign.
